1960s Bastiano Three-Seater Sofa by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Gavina

A rare three-seater Bastiano sofa, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa and manufactured by Gavina in Italy during the 1960s.

The sofa features the distinctive architectural construction of the Bastiano series, with a solid wooden slatted frame supporting generously upholstered square seat, back and armrest cushions. The original black leather creates a striking contrast with the warm tone of the wooden structure.

The sofa remains in good vintage condition and shows authentic signs of age and use. The wooden frame has some light scratches and minor age-related marks. The leather displays a beautiful natural patina, including surface scratches, gentle creasing and areas of fading.
