1970s Maralunga Three-Seater Sofa by Vico Magistretti for Cassina

Iconic three-seater Maralunga sofa, designed by Vico Magistretti and manufactured by Cassina in Italy during the 1970s.

The sofa is upholstered in a soft, velvety fabric featuring an elegant blue-grey striped pattern. Each of the three seats has its own individually adjustable headrest, which can be folded up or down to provide different levels of comfort.

The seat consists of three square cushions, complemented by softly curved armrests that fold inward towards the seating area. Black plastic feet complete the characteristic design.

The Maralunga series is one of the most celebrated designs by Vico Magistretti and was awarded the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1979. It was manufactured by Cassina, the renowned Italian furniture company founded in Meda in 1927 and internationally recognised for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

The sofa is in excellent condition. The original Cassina manufacturer’s label is located underneath the seat.
